Mr. Brainard joined Caymus Equity in 2025, bringing experience in financial diligence and private equity consulting. He is active in all aspects of the Firm’s activity, with a focus on supporting the Partners and Vice President in the evaluation and selection of new opportunities, financial modeling, and transaction due diligence. His responsibilities include extensive data analysis to assess new investment opportunities, support due diligence efforts, and monitor ongoing portfolio company operations.

Previously, Mr. Brainard was with PwC as part of their M&A Advisory group, where he focused on providing financial diligence services across multiple industries for private equity and corporate clients. At PwC, he led workstreams on numerous buy-side and sell-side engagements, uncovering key value drivers and helping optimize deal outcomes across sectors.
